Class Placement Guidelines

Class | Age | Tuition

Pre-Ballet A | 3-4 years old by September 2025 | $400 per semester

Pre-Ballet B | 5-6 years old by September 2025 or Kindergarten | $400 per semester

Ballet/Tap Combo | Age range 4-6 | $475 per semester

Jazz/Tap Combo | Age range 4-6 | $475 per semester

Beginning Hip Hop | Age range 5-9 | $400 per semester or $350 if student is also enrolled in another class

*Pre-Ballet students perform in Rudolph and the SSBA Spring performance.

*Multi-class discount available! Automatically save $50 when you enroll in an additional class.

Dress Code

All dancers must have their hair secured in a a bun or ponytail.

BALLET

Female: light pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, short pink skirt

Male: black tights, pants, or dance shorts, plain white or black top, black ballet shoes

JAZZ

Female: level color or black leotard, pink tights, black jazz shorts or pants, black jazz shoes

Male: plain white top, black jazz pants, black jazz shoes

TAP

Female: level color or black leotard, pink tights, black jazz shorts or pants, black tap shoes

Male: plain white top, black jazz pants, black tap shoes

HIP-HOP

Female: level color or black leotard, black jazz shorts or pants, black or white sneakers

Male: plain white top, black jazz pants, black or white sneakers

Make-up Class Options

Dancers making up a missed class may take any class in his/her age level.

Performances

FALL– Pre-Ballet students perform one dance in Rudolph at the Lobero. Rehearsals will take place in class.

SPRING– Pre-Ballet students will perform one dance in the end of year performance in May at the Lobero. Rehearsals will take place in class.

* The Ballet/Jazz, Ballet/Tap, and Tap/Jazz Combo classes are structured with half the class focusing on each dance style. These classes will have two dances in Rudolph and the SSBA Spring performance.

State Street Ballet Academy Policies

*The dress code must be followed at all times.

* Students and/or siblings may not enter the studio if the instructor is not present.

* Children must be picked up promptly at the end of class. A $10 fee will be assessed for each 10 minutes the child has not been picked up.

*Please be sure to let the teacher know if you are taking a make-up class so he/she can mark it down properly.

*We assume that you will continue from one semester to the next unless you notify our office.

*Any schedule conflicts need to be given in writing, in advance. Please know that casting may be changed if a significant amount of classes or rehearsals are missed for any reason.

* There are no refunds for missed classes or performance fees. Most of our classes at these levels are full, so enrollment in a class prevents others from enrolling.

* Tuition Payments must be made one week in advance of the start of each semester; otherwise, students on the waiting list will be given the opportunity to enroll in your place.
